Frequently Asked Questions

Carolina Christian Youth Conference is a 501(c)(3) parachurch organization that plans and hosts an annual winter conference for middle and high school students. The organization is governed by a board of directors and an executive team, as well as dozens of volunteers that organize aspects of the conference every year. You can read about our liability and other policies here.

CCYC exists to connect students across the Carolinas and surrounding states to be the hands and feet of Jesus around the corner and around the world.

No, we do not have a specific affiliation. We have many Christian denominations that join us, both on our planning team and at our conference. You can read our core beliefs here.

You’ll get to share CCYC weekend with 1500-1700 of your closest friends! Every year, our conference grows larger and the energy is more exciting and inviting!

The conference content is geared toward middle school (6-8 grade) and high school (9-12 grade) students. We have a variety of college students who volunteers, as well. If you’d like to volunteer at our annual conference, click here and fill out the “Volunteering with CCYC” form.

You can find the detailed schedule and other conference details here. Generally, hotel check-in at the hotel is at 3 p.m., and conference check-in around dinnertime on Friday. We have an evening session on Friday, workshops on Saturday morning, free time for you and your youth group to enjoy, and then Saturday evening session. We finish CCYC with a Sunday morning general session before we are dismissed home. Middle and high school students are typically in the same places, except for workshops.

You’ll get about four hours of free time Saturday afternoon for lunch and hanging out. There is a mall across the street as well as other hallway activities we provide if you don’t want to stray too far away from the convention center.

CCYC does not make your hotel arrangements, and you are not required to stay in a hotel at all if you’re local. We partner with the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons to get you great discounts on rooms. That being said, our hotel blocks typically fill up. We’re happy to give you suggestions of other places to stay, just email us!

There is plenty of free parking in the Koury Convention Center parking lot and room for your car, van or bus!

We can use all the help we can get! CCYC meets for two days each in December and March to plan the annual conference, and we plan a few years in advance. We book your hotel rooms and pay for your Monday dinner as a thank you for volunteering your time and passion. You can learn more about joining our planning team here.

Unfortunately, we do not offer registration refunds. You are welcome to transfer your extra registrations to another church; to do so, please contact our registrar.

We love our vendor partners! Church camps, universities and colleges, missions groups, gift and apparel sales, and other organizations are welcome to apply to be a vendor. You can find more info about that here.
